Elections for Iraq, but not Washington state

The irony of conservatives celebrating elections in Iraq while seeking to overturn an election here at home is hilarious. At the end of the day, these folks don't care about elections or democracy or even gay marriage, they just care about tax cuts and power.

Can you believe that the National Review, a bastion of conservatism, is calling for another election AFTER a governor has taken office? What is conservative about that? William F. Buckley should be turning over in his grave. Too bad he's not dead yet (just kidding, of course).

Democrats: Protecting a woman's right to choose while reducing abortions

What to do with Alberto Gonzales

Gonzales is clearly unfit to serve as Attorney General. He has disgraced this country, enabled countless acts of torture and numerous executions, and ultimately made Americans and our troops less safe. There is one way, however, for him to still prove he deserves the job of AG. If he were willing to subject himself to the various torture methods he/Bush authorized, say an afternoon of water-boarding and testicle-shocking, then he'd earn my support.

With moral values like these, who needs the Geneva Conventions?
